System Requirements

1. Available USB port
2. Microsoft Windows® 2000, Windows® XP, or Windows Vista® operating system
3. CD-ROM drive (for CD and video operation)
4. Standard sound card (for CD and video operation)

5. 1024x768 or higher resolution monitor

6. Microsoft® DirectX 8 or a later version

 

Hardware Installation

We strongly recommend that you plug both connectors into available USB ports on your computer.

 

Driver Installation  

1. Insert the driver CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2. The CD will run automatically and bring up the Setup dialog box.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
4. The driver icon appears on the bottom right of the Windows system tray when the driver is loaded. 

Driver Uninstallation

1. Click "Start" menu (on the bottom left of the taskbar).
2. Move cursor to "Programs" in "Start" menu.
3. Move cursor again to "ASUS Gaming Keyboard".
4. Select "UnInstall."
5. Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to uninstall.

 

Key Features


1. Game-Wheel: The Game-Wheel defaults to A Mode and is adjustable to A, B, or office Mode. To know which mode the Game-Wheel is in, check the A/B Profile and the Office Key LED.

2. The button for rotating the Game-Wheel: The Game-Wheel is rotatable 30 degrees clockwise/
anti-clockwise to fit individual ergonomic needs. To do so, just hold the button and rotate the 
Game-Wheel at the same time.

A/B Profile The Game-Wheel defaults to A Mode. Press to cycle between A Mode 
and 
B Mode.
Office Key Switch the Game-Wheel to Office Mode.
Backlight on/off   Toggle on/off the backlight of the Game-Wheel and the main keyboard. 
When the backlight is toggled on, the “Backlight on/off” LED dims. 
Otherwise, the “Backlight on/off” LED turns red/blue.  
Play/Pause Play the file for the current track. Press again to pause.  
Stop Stop playing.
Volume Down Decrease the volume of the audio output from your speakers.
Volume Up Increase the volume of the audio output from your speakers.
Mute Mute or resume the audio output from your speakers.

5. Spacebar: One of the most frequently used shortcut keys during game play.

6. ROG Logo   : While the keyboard is in use, the ROG logo lights steadily in Red/Blue. After 10 
                          seconds of inactivity, the ROG  logo starts to flash on and off.

9. 2 x USB 2.0 ports: Do not plug in a high-power USB device that consumes more than 100 mA power. 
                             Each port can supply a maximum of 100 mA to the device plugged into it.

 

Configuration Menu

The driver icon appears on the bottom right of the Windows system tray when the driver is loaded. 
Right-click the driver icon  and click Configuration or simply double click on the driver icon to pop up
the configuration menu to change keyboard settings. 


 

  • What are these icons used for?

    The table below tells you what the icons on the upper right of the configuration menu are used for.

Restore all buttons to their default assignments.

Click for the Options dialog box to configure the HUD and Windows logo key settings.

Open the Help file.

Close the keyboard configuration program.

  • Mode Indication Light & Tool Tip

Move your mouse cursor over the Game-Wheel or the main keyboard interface, the button currently 
under the cursor displays a colored outline to indicate the current mode and the tool tip appears to give 
you a brief description of the button's function.

  • Configure the Game-Wheel

If your desired function is not available in the Game-Wheel, follow the steps below to add functions to 
the Game-Wheel and access your desired function at a touch of the button.

In A, B, or Office Mode
1. Click any key in the Game-Wheel (main keyboard). The selected key displays a colored outline.


2. Click any key in the main keyboard (Game-Wheel) to import the function from the main keyboard.


3. Your desired function in the main keyboard applies to the selected key in the Game-Wheel.

In Office Mode
In Office Mode, you can even import your desired functions to the main keyboard for applying to 
the Game-Wheel. The way to import your desired function is as follows:
1. Right-click any key in the main keyboard.
2. Click the Add button and the Open dialog box opens. In this dialog box navigate your hard 
drive to select a program and click the Open button.

 

 

  • Customize the HUD

With driver installation, the HUD pops up each time you press A/B Profile or Office Key button on the 
keyboard.  Click for the
Options dialog box to control the visibility, style, and position of the HUD.

Enable HUD (Head-Up Display):

1.

Check Enable HUD to show the HUD on screen. Make sure that the Enable HUD box is checked 
so that you can change Style and Position settings of the HUD.

2.

Click OK.

 

Style:

1.

Check to display the framework of the HUD, or check to see the entity of the HUD.

2.

Click OK.

 

Position:

1.

Reposition the HUD to lower left, lower center, or lower right corner of the screen.

2.

Click OK.

 

Disable "Windows logo key" in "A/B mode":

1.

After installing the driver, the Windows logo key function is disabled by default in A/B mode to 
protect you from accidentally pressing the Windows logo key and opening the Start menu during 
game play. Clear the checkbox can enable the Windows logo key function. (Note that the Windows 
logo key function is always enabled in Office mode.)

2.

Click OK.

  

Exit

Select this command to exit this driver program, but not to remove (uninstall). 
After you restart your system, the driver will be loaded again.

 


   

 

Troubleshooting

1.

Symptom:

The keyboard software does not work properly.

 

Solution:

Please make sure if there is any other keyboard drivers installed. Remove all keyboard drivers 
first and re-install this keyboard software to solve the problem.

 

 

 

2.

Symptom:

Add/remove keyboard software or re-install.

 

Solution:

After installing the keyboard software, the keyboard driver icon will display in the system tray. 
If you want to reinstall the software for some reasons, you must delete the keyboard driver 
from your operating system first. For more detailed information, please refer to 
Driver Uninstallation
.

 

 

Note: If you want to upgrade your keyboard software or it does not work properly, you can re-install it to fix this problem.

 

 

 

3.

Symptom:

Other software applications can not be installed properly.

 

 

If it fails to install other software applications, you have to remove the keyboard driver from
your system memory by right-clicking on the keyboard driver icon and select "Exit." Then 
install the desired software applications. After completing the new software installation, 
restart your computer and then the keyboard driver icon will show on the taskbar.

 

 

 

4.

Symptom:

Multimedia Player can not play VCD title or MPEG file.

 

Solution:

Make sure you have installed Windows Media Player version 7 or later properly. If not, please download
Windows Media Player version 7 or later from Microsoft Web site.

5.

Symptom:

The following message pops up informing that the hub does not have enough power available to run the
high-power USB device.
Solution: Unplug the high-power USB device from the hub and plug it into an available USB port on your computer.
